Angela C. Lai, L.Ac. obtained her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California in 1998.  After graduation, she worked in Cardiac Research at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.  During that time, she authored and co-authored many papers/publications.

Angela attended Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California for her training in traditional Chinese medicine.  The comprehensive 4-year program included 3000 didactic and clinical hours of training in both eastern and western medicine.  During this time, she interned at the Geriatric Clinic in downtown San Diego, as well as worked with athletes at UCSD’s RIMAC Sports Center.

Besides her practice in Redondo Beach, Angela was also a clinical specialist at The UCLA Center for East-West Medicine in Santa Monica, California.  Her specialty there was working on patients’ areas of pain; i.e., neck, shoulder, back, stomach, etc.  Some oncology patients are being referred to Angela for acupuncture during and after their treatment.

Angela is licensed in California and also nationally as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine.

She works together with her patients to help them achieve optimal health, educating them in nutrition and life style changes which will help them stay well longer.

In her free time, she loves to travel to new places and spoil her mischievous bunnies and her very cute and loving dog she rescued.
